Overview
Beam currently authenticates all users via LinkedIn — both business leaders submitting questions and experts creating profiles. There is no separate email and password login at this stage.
This is a deliberate choice. LinkedIn authentication means no passwords to manage or forget, instant identity verification, and a faster signup process for everyone.
How login works
Every time you access Beam, you authenticate via LinkedIn. Click "Sign in with LinkedIn" and you're in — no username, no password, no separate account to manage.
Your LinkedIn profile is used for authentication only. It is not publicly displayed to other users unless you choose to share it — and on the question submission side, your identity remains anonymous until you book a call.
Common questions
Can I log in with my email and password? → Not at this stage. Beam uses LinkedIn for authentication.
Do I need a LinkedIn account to use Beam? → Yes. LinkedIn is currently the only way to authenticate on Beam.
Will email login be available in the future? → Possibly. Email authentication is on Beam's roadmap. You'll be notified when new login options become available.
Is my LinkedIn profile visible to other users? → Not automatically. Your LinkedIn identity is used for authentication. On the question side, you remain anonymous until a call is booked. On the expert side, your public Beam profile is separate from your LinkedIn profile.
What if I don't have a LinkedIn account? → You'll need one to use Beam at this stage. LinkedIn accounts are free to create at linkedin.com.
What if I have trouble logging in? → Make sure you're using the correct LinkedIn account and that your browser allows popups from Beam. If the issue persists, contact Beam support.
