Overview
Most people juggle more than one calendar — a work calendar, a personal one, maybe a shared team calendar. Beam handles this. You can connect multiple calendars, and Beam will cross-reference all of them when determining your availability. If any of them shows a conflict, that slot won't appear as bookable.
One of your connected calendars is designated as primary. That's where Beam sends booking confirmations and session invites — so everything lands in the right place.
How it works
Beam connects your calendars via Cronofy — a third-party calendar automation platform that supports Google Calendar and Outlook. Once connected, all your calendars feed into Beam's availability check simultaneously.
Your Beam availability windows remain the primary control layer. Multiple calendars simply add more conflict-checking on top — making sure nothing slips through.
Step by step
1. Go to Settings Click your profile picture and select Settings from the dropdown.
2. Navigate to Calendar Find the Calendar section in your Settings.
3. Connect your calendars and set a primary Connect your Google or Outlook accounts via Cronofy. You can connect multiple calendars for conflict-checking — but you'll designate one as your primary calendar. Booking confirmations and session invites are sent to your primary calendar so everything lands in the right place.
4. Beam syncs automatically Once connected, Beam monitors all your calendars in real time. No manual updates needed.
Common questions
How many calendars can I connect? → You can connect multiple Google and Outlook calendars. Beam checks all of them simultaneously.
Which calendar receives the booking invite? → Your primary calendar. You designate one as primary during setup — that's where Beam sends all booking confirmations and session invites. Your other connected calendars are used for conflict-checking only.
Does Beam read the content of my calendar events? → No. Beam only checks whether a time slot is free or busy — it never reads event titles, descriptions, or attendee details.
What if I have a Google and an Outlook calendar? → You can connect both. Beam supports multiple calendar providers simultaneously via Cronofy.
Do I have to connect a calendar to use Beam? → Yes. A connected calendar is required to accept bookings. Without it, clients cannot see your availability or book sessions.
What if my calendar isn't syncing correctly? → Try disconnecting and reconnecting via Settings. If the issue persists, contact Beam support.
