Overview
Finding the right AI expert is harder than it looks. Job titles are unreliable. LinkedIn profiles are curated. And most people don't know enough about AI yet to evaluate who actually knows what they're talking about.
Beam takes that problem off your plate. You describe your challenge. The algorithm does the matching. The experts who respond are the ones with relevant experience — not the ones who happened to be available or who marketed themselves the hardest.
How matching works
1. You describe your challenge The intake form asks about your question, your context, your industry, and what kind of decision you're facing. The more specific you are, the sharper the match.
2. The algorithm reads your question Beam's matching algorithm analyzes your question and compares it against the vetted expert network — looking at domain expertise, industry experience, and the type of AI challenge involved.
3. Relevant experts are notified Experts who match your question receive a notification. They can then choose to write a short answer demonstrating how they'd approach your specific challenge.
4. You compare and choose You read the answers from different experts side by side. You're not committing to anything yet — you're evaluating thinking, approach, and fit before deciding who to go deeper with.
What the algorithm looks at
The type of AI challenge (tool selection, build vs. buy, implementation, organizational change, risk)
Your industry and company context
The level of decision maturity (early exploration vs. active implementation)
Expert track record in directly relevant areas
Common questions
How long does matching take? → Matching is automated and typically happens within 24 hours.
What if no expert matches my question? → If the algorithm can't find a strong match, we'll let you know. In practice, most strategic AI questions map well to someone in the network.
Can I get matched to multiple experts? → Yes. Multiple relevant experts can respond to your question. You choose who to engage with.
Does the algorithm improve over time? → Yes. As more questions flow through Beam, matching becomes more precise.
Can I influence who gets matched to me? → Not directly — but the more context you give in your intake form, the more accurate the match will be.
