Overview
When you submit a question on Beam, confidentiality is the default — not an option you have to turn on. Business leaders often deal with sensitive strategic decisions. The last thing you need is your question circulating before you've even decided how to act on it.
Beam is designed around that reality.
What stays private
Your identity Your name, company, and LinkedIn profile are not visible to experts or anyone else on the platform when your question is submitted. You are anonymous to the network.
Your question Your question is only shared with experts who are matched to it by Beam's algorithm. It is not publicly listed, searchable, or visible to unmatched experts.
Your calls Calls booked through Beam are private between you and your expert. Beam does not record or share the content of your conversations.
When does anonymity lift?
There is one moment where anonymity lifts: when you decide to book a video call with an expert. At that point, your identity is shared with that specific expert so the conversation can happen. This only happens if and when you choose to proceed — and only with the expert you select.
Throughout the entire discovery phase — submitting your question, reading expert answers, comparing who you want to speak with — you remain fully anonymous.
A note on published Q&A
Beam is building a public AI knowledge library. In the future, anonymized questions and expert answers may be published as part of that library — to help other companies facing similar challenges find their footing faster.
If your question is published, all identifying information is removed. Your question may end up helping dozens of other decision-makers — without ever being traceable back to you.
Common questions
Can experts see my company name when I submit a question? → No. Your identity is fully anonymous until you book a video call.
Are my calls recorded? → Not by default. You or your expert can choose to record the call, but recording only happens if one of you actively decides to do so.
Can I stay anonymous even after booking a call? → No — the expert needs to know who they're speaking with. But you stay anonymous through everything before that point.
Will my question be published publicly? → It may be, in anonymized form, as part of Beam's knowledge library. No identifying details will ever be included.
Is my payment information visible to experts? → No. Payment details are handled by Beam and never shared.
